About Eric Marcus
Eric Marcus is a communications expert whose work has ranged from writing consumer-oriented books and developing promotional and informational materials for non-profit and commercial enterprises to production jobs for both documentaries and television network news, including ABC's "Good Morning America" and "CBS This Morning." Most recently Eric worked with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention where he rebuilt and re-launched all their programs for suicide loss survivors and produced two documentaries on the experience of suicide loss (which can be viewed here: www.survivorday.org/survivor-day-documentaries).”
Eric's many books include Why Suicide? Questions and Answers About Suicide, Suicide Prevention, and Coping with the Suicide of Someone You Know; What If? Answers to Questions About What It Means to Be Gay and Lesbian; and Breaking the Surface, the #1 New York Times best-selling autobiography of Olympic diving champion Greg Louganis. In addition, Eric has written articles and columns for the New York Times, New York Daily News, New York Post, and Newsweek.
Eric is a graduate of New York City public schools, after which he attended Vassar College and later earned master's degrees in journalism and real state development from Columbia University.
